Terms of Service

Effective September 24, 2026

Please read these terms before you use TDC Signal. They explain your rights, our obligations and the rules for using the service.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These terms form an agreement between you and The Developer Company Inc. ("we", "us"). They cover your use of TDC Signal, including our website and app.

By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you accept them for a company, you confirm you can bind that company. In that case, "you" means the company.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It forms part of these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use TDC Signal. The service is for business and professional use. You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.

3. Accounts and Workspaces

Each workspace tracks one website. Agencies create one workspace per client. The person who creates a workspace becomes its owner. One person can own up to 3 workspaces.

Owners and admins manage setup, questions, alerts, reports and billing. Every member can view results and create audits and drafts. You are responsible for the people you invite and what they do in your workspace.

Keep your sign-in email secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Plans, Trials and Billing

TDC Signal offers a Free plan and paid plans. The pricing page lists current prices and limits. You can pay monthly or annually.

  • Free trial. Starter and Growth include a 7-day free trial. You need a payment card to start it. Your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Each person, workspace and billing email gets one free trial. Creating new accounts or workspaces to repeat a trial breaks these terms.
  • Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period. We charge the card on file at the current price.
  • Cancellation. Cancel any time in the billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Your workspace then moves to the Free plan.
  • Refunds. We do not refund partial billing periods, unless the law requires it.
  • Price changes. We tell you before a price change takes effect. The new price applies from your next billing period.
  • Taxes. Prices exclude taxes unless we state otherwise. You pay any taxes that apply.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may limit or suspend paid features until you pay.

Our payment processor handles card payments. Its terms also apply to your payment.

5. Plan Limits

Each plan sets limits on:

  • Tracked questions, locations and team members
  • The AI engines you can track and how often checks run
  • Fix drafts and page audits per month

When you reach a limit, you cannot add more until you remove items or upgrade. Monthly limits reset on the first day of each calendar month in UTC. Unused amounts do not carry over.

If you move to a plan with lower limits, we adjust your tracking to fit the new plan. Your past results stay in the workspace.

6. Acceptable Use

Only add websites and brands you own or have permission to manage. You must not:

  • Break any law or infringe anyone's rights
  • Scrape, copy or harvest data from the service by automated means, except through the CSV exports
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract our source code
  • Probe, test or bypass our security, rate limits or plan limits
  • Overload or disrupt the service or its providers
  • Share accounts outside your organization
  • Resell or sublicense the service, except to manage client workspaces as an agency
  • Use the service to build a competing product
  • Upload malware or harmful, deceptive or illegal content
  • Publish drafts that make false claims about your business or others

We may remove content or limit access that breaks these rules.

7. Websites You Track

When you add a website, you authorize our crawler, TDCSignalBot, to read its public pages, sitemap and product feed. The crawler never logs in or submits forms. If the site blocks the crawler, some features may not work. Learn more on the TDCSignalBot page.

8. AI Output

TDC Signal uses AI to analyze answers and write drafts. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Collected answers reflect what an AI engine said, not our view.

You review and approve every draft before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish and for checking that it is accurate.

AI engines change how they answer without notice. We do not guarantee that any change raises your visibility, rankings, traffic or sales.

9. Third-Party AI Engines

TDC Signal tracks answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by their owners. These names are trademarks of their owners. Engines may change or stop working, and some features may change as a result.

10. Your Data

You own your data. This includes your questions, brand details, site content, drafts and the results in your workspace.

You give us a limited license to host, copy, process and display your data. We use it only to run, secure and improve the service for you. This includes sending it to our service providers, as the Privacy Policy describes.

You confirm you have the rights to the data you add. When you delete a workspace, we delete its content. To get a copy of your data, ask through our contact page.

11. Our Service and Intellectual Property

The Developer Company Inc. and its licensors own TDC Signal, including its software, design, text and brand. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it under these terms.

If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.

12. Confidentiality

Each party may share non-public information with the other. The party that receives it keeps it confidential and uses it only for these terms. This duty does not cover information that is public, already known, or developed independently. Either party may disclose information when the law requires it.

13. Availability and Support

We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uptime or offer a service level agreement. Maintenance, provider outages and events outside our control may interrupt the service.

We may add, change or remove features over time. For support, use our contact page or call +1 (844) 677-1222, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.

14. Suspension and Termination

You can stop using TDC Signal and delete your workspace at any time.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or fail to pay. We may also do so if you put the service or others at risk. Where we can, we give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.

When your access ends, your right to use the service stops. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as payment, liability and indemnity, remain in effect.

15. Disclaimers

We provide TDC Signal "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties. These include merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service or its results are error-free or uninterrupted.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. This includes lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.

Our total liability for all claims is capped. The cap equals the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.

17. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify The Developer Company Inc. against third-party claims that arise from your data, the content you publish, or your breach of these terms. This includes reasonable legal fees.

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where The Developer Company Inc. is incorporated. Conflict of law rules do not apply. The courts of that jurisdiction decide any dispute, unless the law gives you a different right.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We post the new version here with a new effective date. For material changes, we also notify account owners by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.

20. Contact Us

For questions about these terms, use our contact page. You can also call +1 (844) 677-1222, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.
