This policy explains what data TDC Signal collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using TDC Signal, you agree to this policy.
1. Who We Are
The Developer Company Inc. ("we", "us") provides TDC Signal, a hosted service. It tracks how AI engines answer questions about your brand and helps you improve those answers.
This policy covers our website, the TDC Signal app and the emails we send. It also covers our crawler, TDCSignalBot.
We decide how we use your account, billing and usage data. For the content you add to a workspace, we act on behalf of the workspace owner.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information:
- Account details. Your name, email address and profile photo. You sign in with an email link or with your Google or GitHub account. Those services share your name, email and photo with us.
- Workspace and team data. Workspace names and logos, the members you invite, their roles and pending invitations.
- Billing details. Your plan, billing contact and subscription history. Our payment processor collects your card details. We never store full card numbers.
- Websites you track. The site address you add, plus the public pages, sitemaps and product feeds our crawler reads from it.
- Tracking content. Your brand details, competitors, the questions you track, and the locations and engines you choose.
- Results. The AI answers we collect for your questions, the sources they cite, and our analysis of them.
- Work you create. Page audits, gap analyses, fix drafts, reports and your notes on them.
- Alert destinations. The email addresses and Slack webhook URLs you set for alerts and reports.
- Usage and device data. Sign-in sessions with IP address and browser type. Logs of the features you use and the work we run for you.
- Contact and demo requests. The name, email, company, website, role and message you send through our forms. We also store your IP address to block spam.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create your account and sign you in securely
- Run the service: read your site, collect AI answers, analyze them and write drafts
- Send sign-in links, a welcome email, invitations, alerts and scheduled reports
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Enforce plan limits and prevent fraud and abuse
- Answer your support, contact and demo requests
- Fix problems and improve how the service works
- Meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your workspace content for advertising.
4. How We Use AI
TDC Signal uses AI models to analyze answers and write drafts. To do this, we send content from your workspace to AI model providers. This content includes your site text, collected answers and brand details.
We send only the data a feature needs. We do not send your billing details or sign-in data to AI model providers.
To collect answers, we send your tracked questions and chosen locations to answer collection providers. They ask each AI engine your question and return its answer to us.
5. Our Crawler
When you add a website, TDCSignalBot reads its public pages, sitemap and product feed. It never logs in or submits forms. We use what it reads to describe your site and compare it with AI answers.

8. Data Retention
We keep your account and workspace data while your account is active. We keep collected answers as history so you can see trends over time.
When you delete a workspace, we delete its content from our active systems. Backup copies expire on their regular schedule.
We keep billing records as long as tax and accounting laws require. We keep contact and demo requests while we need them to respond and follow up.
9. Security
We protect your data with these measures:
- Encryption in transit for all traffic to the service
- Role-based permissions, so only workspace owners and admins can change setup and billing
- Access controls that limit which of our staff can see data
- Rate limits on public forms to block abuse
No system is perfectly secure. Keep your sign-in email safe, and tell us right away if you suspect misuse.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over your data. You can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal data we hold about you
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Stop using your data for a purpose you object to
Send your request through our contact page. We verify your identity before we act on it. We do not treat you differently for using these rights.
You can edit your profile and workspace in the app at any time. Workspace owners can delete a workspace from its settings. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
If your data sits in a customer's workspace, we may refer your request to that customer.
11. International Transfers
We and our service providers may process your data in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data protection laws. We use appropriate safeguards to protect your data when it moves across borders.
12. Children
TDC Signal is for businesses and people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child gave us data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We post the new version here with a new effective date. For material changes, we also notify account owners by email or in the app.
